Avoca Beach is renowned for its beautiful beach with lovely rock pool. The beach is patrolled nine months a year and is often a big hit with surfers. Avoca also has shops, cafes, and restaurants with a great community feel. Avoca Beach feels like a small town where most people know each other and stop to say Hi to each other on the streets. A mixture of full time residents and holiday homeowner’s make up the community. There are also visitors experiencing Avoca Beach either for the first time or like many, people who have been coming to Avoca for years. Avoca is not only a holiday destination but also a perfect place for a full time home with an excellent primary school, lots of families, and close to everything.
North Avoca is perfectly situated between Avoca Beach and Terrigal. It is an area that is not as well-known as its neighbours but it is a sought after location with its pristine beach and seaside cafes. Holiday makers and full time residents have long known of this gem within a few minutes’ drive to Terrigal of Avoca Beach offering the best Worlds.
Copacabana is a small beachside community with a great surfing beach as well as a rock pool for the little ones. Across the street from the beach are a couple of amazing restaurants, cafes and a convenience store. There is great whale watching not only from the platform overlooking the beach but also from Captain Cook’s lookout. The community is wonderful with a mixture of full time home owners as well as Holiday home owners. Copacabana public school is popular with locals and many families are calling Copa home.
Macmasters Beach is well known for its seclusion and really the place to get away from it all. With an amazing beach and large rock pool, the allure of this community is easy to see. There are a couple of cafes in Macmasters Beach but there are not many commercial facilities which suits the people who choose to call it home year round or the Holiday homeowners.
Terrigal is often referred to as the jewel of the Central Coast and it is not hard to see why. With a picturesque beach that is protected by the headland at Wamberal and the famous Skillion headland, the water is perfect for surfing, paddle boarding, and is often quite calm for little swimmers. There is a rock pool as well and a multimillion dollar boardwalk being constructed to allow for walking from the beach to the Haven. With arguably the best nightlife on the Coast and a plethora of restaurants and cafes to choose from, Terrigal is known for its food and coastal vibe. There is live music played on the street, and many conveniences for the homeowners, tourists and holiday homeowner’s such as a grocery store, liquor store, clothing stores and beach side shops. The Crown Plaza is also located in Terrigal and has a few places to eat or have a drink with a view over the beach, boats and the headlands. Terrigal is not only a famous holiday destination, it is also known for its excellent schools and close proximity to Erina Fair for all major shopping, Terrigal is an ideal place for either a Holiday residence or a full time home.
Forresters Beach is a favourite of local surfers. The community is a mixture of full time residents as well as Holiday homeowners and has some great shops and places to grab a bite. Forresters Beach is also home to Spoon Bay which is a nice, protected beach which is perfect for the little ones. There are some great lookouts in Forresters Beach where you can see all the way to Sydney on a clear day and you may spot whales as they are migrating or even paragliders who are out flying around the area.
Wamberal is a sought after community with a mixture of full time residents as well as Holiday home owners. The beach and lagoon are a favourite among the residents and visitors. There are some great areas for walking and the Wairakei Road Playground is popular with the kids and parents of course. With restaurants, cafes, and shops scattered around, Wamberal is a great place to call home.
Bateau Bay is known not only for its gorgeous beach but also for having a lot of the major conveniences such as Bateau Bay Square, restaurants, cafes and shops. Bateau Square has most of the major grocery stores and a lot of retail shops. There is a beautiful coastal walk that leads to Forresters Beach and there is also Crackneck Lookout which is an excellent spot for whale watching and viewing the surrounds.
Matcham is one of the most well-known suburbs on the Central Coast for lifestyle acreage properties. Located close to most of the best beaches but with the privacy and seclusion that an acreage property can offer, Matcham/Holgate area has long been a popular place for those seeking a bit more space.
